seasons for the University of Utah, prior to being drafted #1 in the 2005
NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks.
Upon declaring as an early entry candidate for the 2005 NBA Draft he
averaged over 20ppg and 12.2 rpg in only his second season at University of
Utah. He was the winner of the Wooden, Naismith, Associated Press, USBWA,
NABC, Basketball Times, ESPN.com and Sports Illustrated Player of the Year
Awards. Andrew Bogut was a starter for the 2004 Australian Olympic Team in
Greece, where he averaged 14.8 points and 8.8 rebounds in five games. His
coming-out party was when he was named MVP of the 2003 FIBA Junior World
Championships in Greece, leading Australia to the title. In an amazing
performance over eight games, he averaged 26.3 points, 17.0 rebounds and 2.5
assists. Prior to Utah, Bogut played for the Australian Institute of Sport,
which toured the United States in November of 2001 and 2002. Competed with
AIS in the Australian Basketball Association’s (ABA) South East Australian
Basketball League in 2003. The jersey is 100% polyester pro mesh body with knit trims with longer player length.
