The Air Jordan VII was originally released at the beginning of 1992. Like many other Air Jordan's the Air Jordan VII was a shoe of several firsts. Huarache technology was introduced to provide a custom fit via a Dynamic Fit Inner Bootie of neoprene and lycra. Also new was the wild design on the sole and tongue which for the first time polarised the consumer market into those that hated the shoe and those that adored it. Whatever the reaction then, this shoe remains an excellent performer on the court and is certain to turn heads.

This colourway was released for the 1992 playoffs and is the only original colourway to have been retroed. Wearing the original, Michael Jordan set a new finals record by scoring 35 points in a half in game 1 against the Portland Trailblazers.
