RareAirShoes.com Australian Exclusive The Air Jordan XVI was released in February 2001. Late that year the XVI+ was released in two colorways featuring a revamped upper. The patent leather was removed from the toe box for a cleaner look and most of the midfoot section was replaced with a highly breathable mesh. This colorway features quality tumbled leather that is soft and does not crease easily. The Air Jordan XVI comes with its own unique feature, known as the "Jordan Shroud" which in essence is a removable lace cover. Since its release, a large number of pro players have had their own "personal" Jordan XVI makeup with their name and number embroidered into the shoe. For cushioning the Air Jordan XVI relies on a combination of Visible Air in the heel and Zoom Air in the forefoot. Stability is enhanced by the carbon fiber shank plate, visible through the translucent rubber soles. A smooth, clean look for classy 'ballers. Men's US Size - Sold Out 11 September 2005 |
