These are real gems! Inspired by the Air Uptempo Max from 1995, which was worn by a number of NBA players including Scottie Pippen, Kevin Garnett and Jerry Stackhouse.

To the surprise (and excitement) of many, Derek Fisher* of the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2002 NBA Playoffs/Finals wore a very similar colorway to this Air Tempo Max.

Back in '95 when the Uptempo Max was released the original ad campaign said, "(It) will save the earth...one court at a time."
