In 1987, Nike released both the Air Force II High and Low (retro model above) to continue with the enormously popular Air Force One lines and other Force lines that were on the way.

Whilst having been constructed with a thicker midsole than its predecessor, the Air Force II had unique lace locks which were also used on a number of others shoes. These included the Air Revolution from the same year, as well as other classics in 1988 such as the Air Jordan III, Alpha Force and even the Solo Flight's from 1989.

This retro LA edition of the Air Force II Low was released in specific areas on the West Coast in early 2003.
