The shoe worn by the greatest player ever on the greatest team ever. These Air Jordan VII Retro's are an accurate remake of the ones worn by Michael Jordan on the famed US 'Dream Team' that swept the competition at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. No one would argue that any team in history could come close to matching the talent that took to the floor that summer and dominated teams with an average winning margin of close to 50 points.

A controversial design, with it's seemingly flimsy ankle support, the Air Jordan VII was, on release,  the lightest Jordan ever. Combining the construction techniques of the VI's and the Dynamic Fit inner booty of the Air Huarache, Tinker Hatfield bought a new level of comfort and fit to the Air Jordan line. The booty of padded lycra at the ankle and perforated neoprene over the instep hugs the foot to the innersole.

Despite appearances, the Air Jordan VII has adequate ankle support and excellent court grip. A flexible forefoot air unit allows responsiveness for hard cuts and combines with a maximum volume heel air unit and the phylon midsole to provide luxurious cushioning. The forefoot flex grooves and rear and forefoot outriggers enhance flexibility and stability.

Although early colorway's divided fans with their non-team colors, there is no mistaking this one as being fit for the Olympic stage. The red white and blue accents and the quality white leather are finished off with silver overlays and, of course, gold Air Jordan and Jumpman logos. On the heal, the 23 is replaced by a 9, Jordan's Olympic number from 1984 and 1992.
