The Nike Air Jordan VII was originally released at the beginning of 1992. Like many other Air Jordan's the Air Jordan VII was a shoe of several firsts. Huarache technology was introduced to provide a custom fit via a Dynamic Fit Inner Bootie of neoprene and lycra. Also new was the wild design on the sole and tongue which for the first time polarized the consumer market into those that hated the shoe and those that adored it. Whatever the reaction then, this shoe remains an excellent performer on the court and is certain to turn heads.

This 2006 colourway represents a new look to the Nike Air Jordan VII family, especially for newer collectors, who may have missed out on the Olympic Retro released in 2004 or the early retro releases in late 2002. The inspiration behind this colorway was actually a pair of (Player Exclusive) Nike Air Jordan VIII worn by Quentin Richardson in NY Knicks colors. A ceramic-white upper of rich cow leather and a translucent blue outsole, with ice blue and orange accents. It is interesting to note that the rubber used on the sole seems progressively improved from a traction-perspective to give increased grip on-court than the shoes released in 2002.

Within the USA, the shoes were released in limited quantities to urban accounts only and sold quickly, whilst within Australia, they were released in only small numbers making these a rather limited shoe, ideal for collectors.
