RareAirShoes.com Australian Exclusive A blast from the past, this vintage model from the Nike Air Flight line in 1995. This pair is brand new, and only laced for the above photos, however they unfortunately do not come their original box, however, this may be due to this specific style being a team/player exclusive colorway as can be seen by the unusual Nike Stylecode. In the early 90's the Nike 'Flight' line was easily distinguishable by its capital 'F' clearly adorning the tongue and above the window on some of the Low-cut styles. As the mid 90's rolled along the traditional 'F' was discontinued and simply with the word 'Flight' as can be seen on the rear heel tab. With the added 'Zoom' innersoles, this now gave rise making it the Nike Air Zoom Flight 95. The success of the shoe was enjoyed in the following years with the Nike Air Zoom Flight 96 and 97. There were many features of this specific shoe that made it popular, with rave reviews about its solid performance on the court. Without giving the Dallas Mavericks point guard, rising star Jason Kidd his own signature shoe, Nike put the Zoom Flight on his feet and with his on-and off-court persona gaining fans all over the world, so did the kicks he was wearing, and adopted a nickname called the 'Bug eyes' with the circles on the midsoles. The carbon fiber ankle supports gave extra strength to the inners which supported players 'buzzing' around the court. Over the years, the Flight line was was worn by a number of players in NBA, including Michael Jordan, Jason Kidd, Penny Hardaway, Scottie Pippen, Reggie Miller along with current NBA stars including Baron Davis, Paul Pierce and former WNBA MVP Cynthia Cooper.
