Originally released in 1993 by Converse during the 'sneaker wars' was the very popular Run 'N' Slam which was an extension of the Larry Johnson Aero Jam shoe, which was suited more for the bigger baller, whilst the sleek and much lighter and more refined Run 'N' Slam was harmonized for guards. Appropriately, Kevin Johnson, star point-guard of the Phoenix Suns at the time, was the leading player to wear these as his signature shoe, and featured in numerous posters and TV commercials.

Retroed in 2005, a small number of fresh and exciting new colorways were released, featuring full-grain white leather, with mesh/nubuck insets and purple accents, including a midfoot strap for extra support and stability, is one of the more limited to find of a handful of colorways released.

Following the NBA draft in 2003, Converse recruited 5 rookies including Toronto's Chris Bosh, Chicago's Kirk Hinrich, Miami's Dwyane Wade, the Knicks' Mike Sweetney and Grizzlies' Troy Bell.

Featured is an unworn pair of PE's complete with box, made exclusively by Converse for Raptors All-Star, Chris Bosh in sz 14. Notice the strap with the CB-4, and the label on the box which says 'Raptor' in the color description of the shoes.
