One of the most popular Nike Air Jordan shoes of all-time is the Nike Air Jordan V, and in 2006/07, a number of colorways have been slated for release. Not since the year 2000, has the AJ V been released, and for many new collectors, they will fill in holes in their personal collections. It would be fair to say that all the new colorways due for release will be an immediate hit with collectors across the globe.

There are a number of distinguishing features of the Nike Air Jordan V, namely the unique mesh down the side of shoe, closely followed by its reflective tongue. These features together with the distinctive clear sole, its definitive fire patterns topped off by its lace locks, the first Nike Air Jordan to have them, make it a great looking shoe,

One of the original colorways, simply known as 'the Fire Red' has finally been retroed in late 2006, and was by far one of the most eagerly awaited shoes of the year as far as Air Jordan's.

In this new Laser-etched Nike Air Jordan V, the JB designers have differed from taking a twist from an OG colorway, and gone beyond the boundaries by using a new colorway (but keeping the reflective tongue) and putting it through the lasering process. This RA colorway will divide collectors, some will like, some may even hate? Each etching on the upper is one part of a Jordan model and graphics on the inners and ankle supports is the reverse of the etching, bringing color to the etchings.

The distribution on this shoe was finally a little broader than with the Laser IV's which were USA only. Here JB distributed a mere handful (no more than around 25 pairs) to exclusive Nike account holders outside of the USA.
