This shoe, designed by Aaron Cooper, with improvements to decrease the amount of stretching in the uppers from the Air Pippen I, was also based on a sports car, the 1951 Mercury. Featuring Zoom-Air and firm, but streamlined uppers, versatile enough for players on the court in any position.
