Where do you begin to start with such a classic shoe?

This model featured is an original pair of super-rare Pumps from around 1993-94 which was designed to give a more durable basketball shoe, from the Pump line, to play 'streetball' or to wear outdoors. The leather uppers are a lot more stronger in this model than some of the previously released Pump line of shoes, with the exception of the 'Blacktop' series which also used similar uppers but had a slightly different Pump foot stabilizing system.

In the early 90's Reebok had its 'Pump' and Nike had its 'Air' and locked horns to corner the basketball and cross-trainer market. There were few kids who didn't want a pair of Pumps!

Prior to the Vertical II being released, was the Reebok Omni Zone II in 1991. This was the shoe that people may recall that the Boston Celtic rookie at the time, Dee Brown wore when he won his Slam Dunk title. He wore the Black/White-Orange colorway and pumped them up right before he commenced his winning jam! Upon completing his winning dunk, he bent forward (the crowd went silent) to deflate his shoes (to the crowd's delight!)... a magic moment for the Reebok Pump.

The Vertical II contains a 'Mid foot System' inflatable lining inside the shoes so to support the ankle, midfoot and heel, whilst the Hexalite gives added cushioning to the heel and sole areas of the foot.

According to Reebok, "The Pump System lets you surround your foot with just the right support where you need it most. Squeeze The Pump to inflate the lining inside your shoes. The more you squeeze, the better the fit. You determine what feels right. The release valve gives you complete control for a perfect fit every time.
