In 1986/87 Nike released the "Terminator" which had clearly defined "NIKE" on the rear of the heel, adopted the nickname "Big Nike".

Such a shoe was was popular with many players in the big L, but Nike "posterized" one player in their advertising campaign, namely Manute Bol. This guy was no average guy, he was a Nigerian basketball player, one of the first African-born players to play NBA and started his career at the Washington Bullets. He was far taller than most, in fact 7' 7" to be exact!

The Nike Terminator was recently retroed and this is sample of an unreleased colorway.
