This fantastic running shoe was given to all Australian athletes participating in the Athens Olympics, to be worn at medal ceremonies to receive their medals on the podium, where Australia won a whopping 49 medals and placed fourth overall in the medal tally.

Although there are no official production figures from Nike, we doubt there to be more than around 2000 pairs of these beauties produced overall! Each pair is adorned with the official Australian Olympic 2004 logo on the innersole and rear heal counter, including the gold Southern Cross stars, instead of the Nike swoosh. Each box label clearly states the (Oly) special-makeup for these shoes.

These shoes will be highly-sought in the future, especially after Australia's best-ever performance at an Olympic meet, whilst making an excellent and unique addition to any shoe collection.
