Some of the rarest New Balance styles produced by New Balance were in collaboration with sneaker boutique, Offspring in April 2004.  Four different styles were produced, and included models 577, 860 and two alternate 576's. Each style was only available at its own specific store. All these were hand-crafted at the New Balance factory in England.

This specific NB 577 'Safari' model was released at Offspring store (Store #4) on Neal Street and was the most popular in the series. (Shop tag for display purposes only) This classic running profile shoe profile is constructed with full-grain leather uppers in 2 different colors and the safari print using premium leather, the attention to detail is remarkable on these along with the other shoes in the series. Since this collaboration was released, it is interesting to note that more recent collabs with New Balance DO NOT, according to company policy feature a 3rd party name printed on their shoes, therefore increasing their collectability and a worthwhile addition to any sneaker collection.
